Problem / Question We Started With
The Auratech website had been a persistent sticking point — multiple iterations, but none published. Why?
Auratech doesn’t fit a traditional company model.
Most of the value is “below the surface” in exploratory, creative work, making it hard to convey in a conventional product/site format.
Complexity + nontraditional positioning = friction, overthinking, and delays.
We needed a way to break the stall and get into action immediately.
What We Tried — The Portal Jumping Framework
Portal Jumping flips a stuck problem into an actionable plan by moving through three “dimensions” and leaning on AI where it matters.
1. Start in the “Bullshit Dimension”
List everything wrong with the current situation.
Ask “why?” repeatedly until you uncover root causes.
For us:
The site was a pain to publish because our model doesn’t fit traditional structures.
Most of our work is deep and complex — an iceberg — with a small visible surface.
2. Jump to an Alternate Dimension (“Fliptopia”)
Imagine the opposite reality.
In Fliptopia:
The website is so easy and fun to publish it’s addictive.
There are no rules for how a company presents itself.
The creativity is the surface — the top of the iceberg — making it easy to explain because you simply show the work.
This “no rules” insight was the big unlock. It reframed the problem from “hard to define” into “just share the work.”
3. Stop in the “Action Realm”
Identify concrete steps to make the alternate reality true:
Research the most frictionless website CMS possible.
Use AI to generate “anti-rules” to break unnecessary constraints.
Make a list of everything we’ve created in the last two years.
Collect all assets — art, music, videos, code, demos, ideas — in one place (Obsidian).
4. Hack Time
Ask: “What would it look like if I had to get this done in an hour?”
Apply AI for instant solutions where speed matters:
Use deep research to pick a CMS and sign up immediately.
Have the Auratech agent spin it up.
Organize all work in 30 minutes of focused typing + AI cleanup.
Dump all assets in one folder and auto-catalog with Claude Code/JSON.
What We Learned
The shift from Bullshit Dimension → Fliptopia is the unlock. It removes mental friction and creates energy.
Concrete, time-bounded action planning turns vague frustration into momentum.
Combining human reframing with AI execution yields both clarity and speed.
The “no rules” frame makes it obvious: just share the work.
